Colorado Detours engages in three kinds of special events. We can providing transportation shuttle services for festivals and other public gatherings. We join with other tour guiding companies to create unique package experiences, such as rafting and geology float trips. And, Dr. Dave Noe is available for hire for speaking engagements at special events.
What You’ll Do
Colorado Detours can provide van or horse carriage shuttles for parades, festivals, county fairs, and rodeos. We work with other companies to create unique and memorable package experiences; for example, Dr. Dave Noe can provide a geology tour to a group that is floating down a canyon in a raft, with an experienced river guide! Dr. Noe’s talks have been given at festivals, winery dinners, museums, and civic events. He is a well-known speaker whose lectures draw standing-room-only crowds!
Where We’ll Go
The shuttle services can transport people between festival grounds, parking areas, towns, and other related venues. For smaller fairs and celebrations, we can operate a shuttle around the fetival or a downtown area. Our joint tours can be held wherever we see a special benefit coming from the combined talents of two tour companies. Dr. Noe’s geology lectures can been held in public and private venues, senior centers, and schools.
What We’ll Provide
For shuttles, transportation in a classic, open-air carriage pulled by a matched set of purebred draft horses and driven by an experienced wrangler, or in a a sleek, roomy tour van with panoramic windows. For joint tours, the providers will furnish transportation and other items, as needed for that tour. For geology talks, Dr. Noe will create a custom PowerPoint slide show.
What to Bring
For carriage shuttles, we recommend that you dress for outdoor comfort. There are no particular recommendations for what to bring on a van shuttle. For safety, glass drinking glasses should not be used while on the shuttles. Dress and bring whatever you need for the event itself. For joint tours, a listing of items to bring and clothing to wear will be provided upon booking.
Tour Start Times
Tour meeting times and itineraries will be worked out with the sponsoring party that requests a tour or shuttle. The tours could be uniquely crafted. These special event tour experiences may be listed on the Colorado Detours calendar, and they would be open to the general public.
